To me this sounds bizarre. Read on. Weil Gotshal, the law firm that represented Lehman Brothers Holding in its bankruptcy has requested a whopping $55 million as their fee this quarter. And by end of case the firm would be richer by $200 million- a cool $41 million ahead of the $ 159 million the firm received when working on the Enron bankruptcy. Bankruptcy and money- to me this seems the perfect example for an oxymoron. A foreign student may be happy to know. My eyes remain wide and as for my ears this isn’t sweet music. Not by a long stretch.
